With these degrees, graduates can either enter the workforce directly or apply for admission to one of the many promising master\u2019s programs in Erlangen and Nuremberg or at other universities.<\/p>\n\n<\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div>\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-rrze-elements-collapse \"><div class=\"accordion-group \"><h2 class=\"accordion-heading\"><button class=\"accordion-toggle\" data-toggle=\"collapse\" data-name=\"panel_03214308\" data-href=\"#panel_03214308\" type=\"button\" aria-expanded=\"false\" aria-controls=\"panel_03214308-section\" id=\"panel_03214308\">Master-Studieng\u00e4nge<\/button><\/h2><div id=\"panel_03214308-section\" class=\"accordion-body \" aria-labelledby=\"panel_03214308\" role=\"region\" name=\"panel_03214308\"><div class=\"accordion-inner clearfix\">\n\n<p>In the master\u2019s programs in Mathematics, Mathematical Economics, Computational and Applied Mathematics, or Data Science, students acquire, over the course of two years, the additional skills necessary for independent and self-directed academic work. <br>The<a href=\"https:\/\/www.fau.eu\/studying\/degree-programs\/all-degree-programs\/\"> following links<\/a> provide further information on the structure and organization, admission requirements (e.g., required German language proficiency), as well as the application and enrollment process for our Master\u2019s programs in <a href=\"https:\/\/www.math-datascience.nat.fau.de\/im-studium\/masterstudiengaenge\/master-mathematik\/\">Mathematics<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.math-datascience.nat.fau.de\/im-studium\/masterstudiengaenge\/master-wirtschaftsmathematik\/\">Mathematical Economics<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.math-datascience.nat.fau.de\/im-studium\/masterstudiengaenge\/master-computational-and-applied-mathematics-cam\/\">CAM<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.math-datascience.nat.fau.de\/im-studium\/masterstudiengaenge\/master-data-science\/\">Data Science<\/a>. <br>Before beginning a master\u2019s program in the Department of Mathematics, each student must designate a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.math-datascience.nat.fau.de\/vor-dem-studium\/informationen-fuer-studieninteressierte\/mentorinnen-und-mentoren-masterstudium\/\">mentor from the department\u2019s faculty<\/a>, with whom an individual study plan for the master\u2019s program will be developed. <br>A proposed mentor must be specified in the electronic application for the master\u2019s program, along with the specialization within the chosen program. <br>Applications for the master\u2019s programs are submitted via the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.campo.fau.de\/qisserver\/pages\/cs\/sys\/portal\/hisinoneStartPage.faces\">Campo<\/a> application portal.
